I'M BACK WITH A PURPOSE

Since my last post a lot has happened in our family.  Shortly after creating Ribbon Head Bows, I decided to return to school.  Needless to say, this has taken up a great deal of the time I had set aside to focus on growing this hobby.  I have decided to start making bows again, but this time I have a specific purpose.  Our church is building a new building and this is the part I can play in making sure the new building is paid for!  So, from this point on all profits earned from bows, headbands, and other creative head wear and crafty items, will go to my church to help build a new Discipleship Building! All of the pictures on this blog are there more for style, colors and sizes can be personalized.  Also, if you have an idea in your mind and don't see a picture on this blog, please contact me with a picture or description and I will let you know if I can do it and how much it would cost.

Work in Progress

Sorry I haven't posted anything new recently.  However, you will be happy to hear that I have a few projects (new designs) in the works.  My husband loves college football...so, during football season thats usually what is on TV at our house.  My daughter has requested that I make her a University of Georgia bow.  So, that is what I am working on at the moment.  Trying to come up with a design that I can duplicate for other teams (as much as that pains me to say) without breaking any copyright laws.  So, bare with me.  I will post pictures as soon as I can.

Another project I am working on is to ribbonize (I just made that up - like it?) flip flops.  I have seen a few ideas, but am yet to find something I am wild about!

So, please keep checking back!!

Wish I Were Little Again....

When I was younger, my mom made all kinds of bows for me!  I was the bow queen for sure!  There were all kinds of bows that were in style then....I wish I had taken pictures. I had bows made from Coke and Sprite wrappers and lids.  I had bows that were made from a clear film and filled with stuff (and when I say stuff, I mean stuff!).  My mom spent hours making bows for me and she would even let me help pick the colors and stuff.  Now, the tradition continues.  Most of my ribbons are hand picked my non other than my little princess.  She loves being in my craft nook with me and helping me in any way she can!  This bow is one of her favorites....

I know I would have loved this bow when I was her age!!  Hello Kitty was so popular then and its even more popular now!!  My princess loves Hello Kitty just as much as I did (and still do...shhh! don't tell anyone).

The ribbon on the bottom is hot pink and black plaid and the ribbon on the top is black (satin feel) with white Hello Kitty faces!  I have one of these ready to ship for $5 (because it is smaller) but I still have lots of the ribbon so please contact me today to order a Hello Kitty bow for your princess!!
